BLM

The BLM is a flashy attractor pattern with a very realistic mayfly profile.  It is effective for use on sierra streams, tailwaters and lakes.  In streams or tailwaters (such as Stanislaus), fish it with your favorite rig for nymphing, or hopper and dropper style (18-24" below a dry fly) is a great method for pocket water.

For Lakes, try retrieving it in small strips, or you can troll it in a tandem rig behind a wooly bugger or other fly.
