Punk Rocker

I am guessing that you have not seen this one before, and you more experienced fisherman are probably giggling at this gaudy fly, but you have to try it.  A friend of mine who is a guide (Gary “Pop” Gould) recommended it for a “pay to play” private lake – Mt Lassen Trout Farm.  I tied a few up, never used them there, and forgot about them. A couple months later, on a whim, I tried one at Frenchman Lake near Reno.  What resulted was the best day of fishing that I had ever experienced, with the Punk Rocker far outperforming the Wooly Buggers that we usually fished on that lake.
